Gee what a great site Mr Scanact!!

Seriously though, have now received some information that the NSW Police will be going digital "soon" in Queanbeyan. Although, they've said that for a long time now.

However if you have coverage from the Mt Tennant channel, it will not be going digital... at least for now, not sure if it's channel 20 or 63 as they changed things around not long ago.

-scanACT
Yes I have been hearing this as well but it wont be encrypted at this stage...means I will have to put the digital scanner on the stream :)

Cheers...

great site and thanks alot.
question for you is why cant i hear the shoalhaven rural fire service radios on any of the scanners on the net? and is there any way that they can be put on?

thanks again

-scanACT
To get shoalhaven on the net someone from Nowra way would need to set it up and have the dedication to keep it going, it's not an easy task nor is it cheap. Would be good to hear something from there. Sorry I cant help you out.

Dude - well done on the site - pretty neat project. Can I ask what software is driving your weather system - is it the Ambient Weather VWS supplied with the unit, or something else?

Good Stuff!.

Thank you for your kind words, I do use the Ambient VWS as I found this to a little more informative.

Excelent!
With the piss poor performance of the professional media, having a reliable way of monitoring emergency service traffic is a God-send.
Fire season is on us (shudder) at least now we know what is going on.
PS the http://www.scanact.net/scan/scan.pls feed works great on i-tunes (Mac)

I've noted in one of your replies that ESA is now digital and encrypted. This is not entirely true. They are Digital but not encrypted . Only the AFP are encrypted.

Keep up the great work.

-scanACT
Yes I have been told a lot of incorrect information over the last 12 months, I think it is nearly time to put the digital scanner online so we can listen to ESA ;-)

Hey scanact,

Good to see you sorted that spam issue out. Hey I am now back today and streaming with WinAmp. Seems like you are getting good signals today. I always drop by now and then to have a listen. Specially around Summer time : )

It's great that this is 24/7.

PS: Do you live in North or South Canberra ?

Good to see you back, I live on the North side of town and yes summertime is the best time to listen to the scanner

Wondering if you have these frequencies?

Please let me know,
